Two quick-thinking police officers who were off-duty and enjoying dinner at a local eatery in Naic, Cavite, sprang into action to prevent a runaway pickup truck from causing further damage after it plowed through several tricycles.

Their timely intervention, which included shooting out the vehicle’s tires, led to the immediate apprehension of the senior citizen driver, who was reportedly intoxicated.

The dramatic incident unfolded recently in Naic, prompting an immediate and decisive response from the two police personnel. The pickup truck had reportedly caused a chaotic scene, damaging multiple tricycles and injuring at least two individuals—a tricycle driver and his wife, who are currently receiving medical attention in a local hospital.
