NAPUNO NG SAKSAK? 21-anyos na babae pinagsasaksak ng tinangka umanong halayin ng kapitbahay sa GenSan
A 21-year-old woman was injured while fighting off a neighbor who allegedly attempted to rape her in General Santos City.
The 22-year-old suspect allegedly entered the victim’s room as it could not be locked from the inside.
“Gisulud siya, ning agi sa ko butika, didto man ako kwarto ,derecho- derecho siya dira…sa pultahan miagi kay wala ma lock kaayo kay hindi mana ma lock sa sulod ang pinto sang kwarto niya,” the victim’s grandmother said.
The suspect allegedly threatened the victim by pointing a knife at her mouth. However, the victim resisted, which led to her getting stabbed.
The victim sustained stab wounds in the mouth, stomach, and back. She was brought to the hospital for treatment.
“Abi niya kawatan, hindi man diay, tuyo gale siya. Tapos amo tu deretso nag ano sa iya nag ano daw, nagbato siya, amo na nasaksak siya. Dumugay sila sa lalum sa kama,” the victim’s grandmother added.
The suspect fled after the victim screamed for help.
It was learned that the suspect had long harbored feelings for the victim.
“Dugay na man daw kay ang mga barkada nag ingun ganina, dugaw na daw man gusto kay kwan hindi lang siya ka ano,” the victim’s grandmother said.
The suspect’s aunt said they did not hide him and cooperated with the authorities.
“Wala ako na (gusto) na itago siya. Mas mainam man yung makita siya kaysa itago,” the suspect’s aunt said.
Authorities launched a hot pursuit operation and arrested the suspect hiding at a mangrove area near the shoreline.
“Daku ang atung kalipay kay ang atung operatives sa PS3 ug atung City Intelligence Unit wala gyud ta kabsi sa pag-asa bisag pila na ka target place nga ilang giadtu, natumbok gyud ang gitaguan sa maong suspek,” General Santos City Police Office Director, Col. Nicomedes Olaivar Jr., said.
The suspect may face rape charges.
