Na Adik Na! Anak na umano'y nalulong sa "Scatter," tinangkang sunugin bahay nang di binigyan ng pera ng ina
A 20-year-old man was arrested after allegedly attempting to set their home on fire in Sitio Kapakulan, Barangay Tisa, Cebu City, during the early morning hours of Sunday, June 1.
According to Brigada News Philippines, the suspect, identified only by the alias “Bert,” reportedly started the fire by igniting a tarpaulin outside their house.
His mother, who reported the incident, told authorities that the day before the attempted arson, her son persistently demanded money to spend on an online game called Scatter.
She revealed that Bert had been addicted to the game for some time, often showing signs of aggression whenever he wasn’t given money to play.
Despite his troubling behavior, she expressed her continued love for her son, noting that his latest outburst may have been triggered by her refusal to give him money. “I still love him very much,” she said tearfully, adding that Bert’s anger likely stemmed from the frustration of being denied the funds he demanded.
