A live-in couple tragically died after an apparent mutual stabbing incident in their residence in Purok Eucalyptus, Barangay Tabugon, Kabankalan City, around 5:30 in the afternoon on Sunday, May 19.

The pair, identified as 26-year-old Marilie Satinyamian and Fernan Pacunla, who was in his 30s, were found fatally wounded following a domestic dispute.

Police Lieutenant Roberto Indiape, chief of the Kabankalan City Police Station, confirmed the details of the incident in an interview.

The dispute reportedly centered on Pacunla’s disapproval of Satinyamian's intention to return to Bacolod City, where she worked as a domestic helper. Pacunla, on the other hand, was employed as a laborer within Kabankalan City.
