A tragic incident unfolded on June 6 in Brgy. Tuburan after a police staff sergeant fatally shot a civilian, sparking outrage in the community.

According to a report by Brigada News PH, the altercation began when the officer approached a group that included the victim. While engaging in conversation with the group, the police officer reportedly slapped one of them, which escalated into a heated confrontation.

Shortly after, the officer allegedly followed the victim to a nearby house and shot him in the head, causing his immediate death. The suspect later surrendered to authorities, and his .45 caliber handgun was recovered as part of the investigation.
