A tragic road incident in Pagbilao, Quezon, on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, resulted in the death of one woman and injuries to 15 other individuals after a passenger jeepney overturned in Barangay Silangan Malicboy.

The accident, which occurred along the highway, prompted an immediate investigation by local authorities who are now actively searching for the driver of a truck implicated in the fatal crash.

According to initial reports from the Pagbilao Police, as conveyed by GMA News stringer Peewee Bacuño on Super Radyo dzBB, the passenger jeepney was en route from Tagkawayan to Sariaya when it veered off course.

The vehicle reportedly collided with barriers along the highway, causing it to flip over and come to rest upside down.
